For institutions
Language schools, universities, study-abroad programmes: we find and check the host families, you book them for your students and follow each stay in one place.

How it works
- Open your space: accept the terms for institutions, give an emergency contact, invite your colleagues.
- Add a student, with their dates, languages and diet, and send requests to families of the catalogue.
- The families accept or decline. You choose one among those that accepted; the other requests are closed.
- The student receives a personal link to sign the template contract, and pays unless you do. The family's details and the emergency sheet follow the first payment.
What it costs
No subscription, no setup fee, no minimum volume.
Each night costs the price the family set for its room, plus our service fee of 24% of that price taxes included, the same for every institution and every student. The price of a stay is fixed on the day of the request.
The stay is paid by card in periods of 28 nights, the first charged 60 days before the arrival, the next ones 30 days before they start, or at once when that day is past. Student by student, you choose who pays: your institution or the student.
Who does what
You keep what you already do: your emergency contact, given to the families once a stay is confirmed.
We find and check the families, provide the template contract, collect the payments and pay the families. The contract binds the student and the family: We Made Room is not a party to it, and handles no emergency.
For which stays
Prices read by the night and by the week, the same whatever the length:
- a summer course of 2 to 8 weeks: a family for each student, on the exact dates of the course;
- an exchange semester: one stay, paid period by period;
- a study-abroad programme: each student followed from your space, from the request to the departure.
The families
Each listing is checked by our team before it appears in the catalogue: the rooms, photos taken in the room with a code we give, the host family charter signed. Before accepting a student, a family has the identity of one adult checked online. Then come the reviews of the students, published whatever their mark.
Rules known in advance
Every student is at least 18 on arrival. A stay lasts at least 14 nights, with no maximum, and is requested at least 7 days before the arrival.
Cancellation, early departure and refunds follow fixed rules, applied automatically: if a family cancels, everything is refunded and you book another one. We Made Room organises no rehousing.
Until a first stay of your institution is booked, your students together have 6 requests waiting at most, 2 at one family. The limit goes once a first stay is booked.
